BBQ at the parents

I had not planned on posting anything before I knock out this takoyaki recipe that I keep talking about, but this barbecue looked just too delicious to pass on. The upper image is a pork loin and the lower images are pork butt and a homemade slaw. The loin was a more expensive cut of meat, but I have to say the pulled pork was the star of the show. A dry rub was applied, and then the meat was slow cooked for five or six hours, occasionally basted with a chili and vinegar sauce. So, while we wait for the first actual recipes, please enjoy this gratuitous food pr0n courtesy of my father.

  1. Must be nice to have parents that cook good food! Love the cocktail napkin. Great photos!
