New toys
It’s no secret that I don’t have the most health eating habits. To my credit, I don’t eat a lot of processed foods (cook my own junk food), but it’s clear I need a shift in diet as I am getting older. I have decided to incorporate more raw food vegan meals into my diet, but continuing to eat all the foods I like in moderation. To this very end as I was preparing this raw food vegan meal last night, I was also slow cooking pork belly to eat tonight. The best way for me to dive into more healthy eating, is definitely through new toys! I bought a Japanese spiral cutter and mandolin. Even if I don’t stick to more raw food–which is so delicious, I can’t see why that would happen–I’ll still get a lot of use out of these multi-taskers. Below you can see pics of my new spiral cutter and first raw food meal: zucchini pasta with a sea salt salsa (fresh tomato, sun-dried tomato, cucumber, garlic, salt, thyme, rosemary, pine nuts, oregano and olive oil). I actually like the zucchini pasta better than spaghetti!

That looks really tasty!
Now if you just sprinkle some bacon onit – it would be perfect!!!
