Pecan pie
After baking a quiche earlier this week, I still had 1/2 of my crust dough left. It seemed as good a time as any to bake a pie. I decided to bake a pecan pie–one of my all time favorites–which, admittedly I have never baked before. I looked at a few recipes online, and then decided to go my own way. For the most part it turned out great, although the pecans seemed to float to the top, which left a really sweet layer on the bottom. Next time I make it, I’ll get it right. To my batter I added rum and molasses, which I did not see on any recipes online.
