Spicy pickled mango
I picked these up from a plant nursery around the corner from my house called Natty Garden. I live in the Jamaican area of Brooklyn, so there is tons of new things to try in this area. As I was buying the mangoes, the guy warned me they were hot. I had no idea they would be this strong. My mouth is on fire right now! It was suggested I try it over rice.
Kind of messed this shot up… Had the camera light balanced wrong, and ate the mangoes before I realized I did not have a good shot.
oh my, i loooooove spicy food!! never had this before..wished i can find some here. i like how it’s so beautifully presented, like a sashimi. the wooden ‘plate’ is beautiful, too!
