Wagyu burger
Yesterday morning my coworker told me he had recently read a review of a premium burger truck in Manhattan. It could be tracked on Twitter, and in fact it was parked just a few blocks away at that very moment. We decided to give it a go. The ingredients list for Frites’n'Meats is pretty impressive. I got a wagyu (American Kobe beef) burger, on a brioche bun with gruyere cheese, microgreens, applewood smoked bacon, and an onion jelly. There was a line down the block, which took about 40 minutes to get our food. All in all it was a good burger, although I really wanted there to be more of the ingredients, or perhaps less bun. My coworkers commented that it was cooked too much, but I like a charred burger (and a raw steak).
This is one of the many high quality mobile street foods I have uncovered. I have heard of a desert truck in Manhattan that actually serves dishes such as creme brulee.
